'Outstanding' inspection for Chipping Norton
BackChipping Norton School has been rated ‘outstanding’ in four out of five categories at its most recent Ofsted inspection.
The secondary received the highest possible grading for behaviour and attitudes, personal development, leadership and management, and sixth-form provision following a visit in the autumn.
The school was also rated ‘good’ for quality of education in the report.
The report found that:
- The school’s commitment to developing pupils’ character is exceptional. The provision for pupils' personal development is exceptional.
- Pupils achieve examination results at the end of key stages 4 and 5 that are well above national averages.
- The school has high expectations for how well pupils and students achieve and conduct themselves.
- Pupils feel safe and enjoy their learning.
Chipping Norton School was rated ‘good’ by Ofsted at its last graded inspection, in 2017.
