Katherine is an experienced teacher and school leader with significant expertise in leading SEND provision. Katherine has taught across primary and secondary schools in England and America as a class teacher, qualified teacher of the deaf, and autism resource base teacher.
Over the past ten years, Katherine has focused on working with school leadership teams to develop ambitious, school-wide systems that ensure children and young people with SEND have access to the high-quality provision and opportunities they deserve to thrive.
Beyond her role at the Trust, Katherine has been appointed to the DfE’s Expert Panel for National Inclusion Standards and Specialist Provision Packages. She is the Chair of the CST SEND and Inclusion Professional Community. Katherine was a project director for the Educational Endowment Foundation’s SEND Review Trial, a lead author for the Teacher Handbook: SEND, and contributed to the drafting of the DfE's NPQ SENCO Content Framework.
