SIAMS Inspection Success: A ‘Culture of Kindness’ at Horspath Primary School

Horspath Primary School was last inspected by The Statutory Inspection of Anglican and Methodist Schools (SIAMS) in December 2025 and received a positive judgement. The school is living up to it's foundation as a Church school and is enabling pupils  and adults to flourish. 

Highlights from the report are:

  • School Culture: A community defined by kindness, where people treat each other well and experience a strong sense of belonging.
  • The Buddy System: The bond between older pupils and Year R students was singled out as having a major positive impact on student flourishing.
  • The Curriculum: Described as "ambitious" and "carefully planned," ensuring students in mixed-age classes receive the necessary support and challenge.
  • Inclusivity: Additional assistance for pupils who need extra support was described as "particularly well considered."
  • Parental Engagement: The close involvement of parents was credited as a significant factor in the pupils' success.
