Gosford Hill School is celebrating its latest Ofsted report, which praises the school’s high expectations, "detailed" teaching expertise, and the strong sense of belonging felt by its pupils.
The Kidlington secondary school, part of the River Learning Trust, was evaluated under the new national framework. It secured the 'Expected Standard' (marked in green) across all six key areas, including Achievement, Teaching, and Leadership. This rating confirms the school is meeting the high bar required to provide a quality education.
Highlights from the Report:
- Inspectors noted that "in lessons, behaviour is calm," allowing students to feel "confident and valued."
- Staff were praised for their "detailed subject knowledge" and for providing "impactful and consistent" support for pupils with SEND.
- The report highlighted that pupils truly "enjoy their learning" and benefit from a wide range of popular extracurricular clubs.
Headteacher Nigel Sellars said: "This outcome is a testament to the hard work of our staff and the resilience of our students. We are proud of our progress and remain committed to providing the very best opportunities for every young person."
Paul James, CEO of River Learning Trust, added: "It is clear that Gosford Hill is on an intentional, positive trajectory. The commitment to high standards is evident throughout the inspectors' findings."
