Following the inspection on 10th and 11th June 2025, Ofsted determined that Garsington Primary School "maintains the good standards identified in our previous inspection" and that "safeguarding arrangements are effective."
June 2025 Inspection Highlights:
- Leadership and Academic Excellence - Ofsted praised Garsington Primary School’s collaborative leadership and the "broad and ambitious curriculum" designed to support all pupils, including those with special educational needs (SEND). Inspectors highlighted the expertise of teachers and the specific prioritisation of reading from the moment children join. They noted that staff deliver phonics effectively and ensure that any pupil needing extra support catches up quickly.
- Personal Development and Wellbeing - The report emphasises an inclusive ethos where high behavioural expectations are met with sensitive, personalised support. The curriculum is enriched by a wide range of clubs, visits, and opportunities for spiritual and moral growth, preparing pupils well for life beyond school. Safeguarding arrangements were deemed effective, with emotional wellbeing actively addressed through targeted programmes.
- Community and Atmosphere Attendance - Is described as "unmissable" for most pupils, reflecting the positive relationships between staff and families. Both staff and parents expressed overwhelming positivity about their experiences, with the report concluding: "Garsington Primary is a wonderful school, where every child is cared for."
